Pages: 14 The Battle of Stonehill Fort is a Fifth Edition adventure for one to seven characters of 1st to 3rd level, and is optimized for a party of four characters with an average party level (APL) of 2. This adventure is designed for the Amazons vs Valkyries setting, but can be easily adapted to any other fantasy setting. Adventure Summary: The PCs decide (or are sent) to investigate some ancient ruins and ensure enemy troops aren’t using them. As they near the entrance, the PCs notice the ruins are occupied. Soon the PCs encounter Romans. After a couple skirmishes, the Romans flee into the tunnels below the fortress, which include a trapped dungeon. The Romans arm the traps as they escape and prepare to ambush any survivors in a final climactic battle. If the PCs succeed, they clear the ruins and defeat a few dozen Romans. This download includes the PDF adventure and a Zip file containing three maps of the fort for use on VTTs. This adventure works well as a stand alone side quest, but it is actually excerpted from the Prelude to War adventure. *Note: If you already have the Prelude to War adventure, then you already have this content.* Other similar side quests in this series include the Manticore's Den, Quest for Yulania Tree, and the Smokehouse Raid. |
