Advancing with Class: The Eldrich Sorcerer
This Advancing with Class supplement presents a new base class that takes a new look at the original Pathfinder class. Ispired by another publisher's re-imagining of the class, the eldritch sorcerer differs from the original class quite abit while retaining bloodlines and much of their benefits. Differences include:
- Spells are gained at 2nd level and only go through sixth level.
- Options that enhance the sorcerer's ability similar to talents of other classes including a pool based mechanic for empowering the eldritch sorcerer's powers.
- Ability to launch energy attacks at will based on the bloodline chosen.
The eldritch sorcerer still casts her spells spontaneously and her list of known spells is tied directly to her bloodline. Bloodlines for this class have been revised to use her pool mechanic versus just X times per day and all the bloodlines from the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rule Book and many from the Advanced Player's Guide with a total of 25 to choose from.
So if you want to build a powerful blaster type caster, the eldritch sorcerer offers a way to do that without sacrificing some utility when needed as part of the adventure.
